FLESHBRAIN çddf, faa, afa, aaf, faf, ffa, aff ¢ FLESHBRAIN ³Comments From the studio musician, Andreas Stenhager: ¹ The first thought that struck my mind when hearing this guys tunes was that they are powerful but very very unfinished. The tunes are all very long, I think one was over 15 minutes. I don't think that I(or anybody else) has the power to listen through the whole tunes if we don't have to, because they have a bassline and drumsequence that last right through the song(in 15 minutes!) and even if he is experienced and skilled playing around with the leads it easily gets quite boring in the end. Often he has a very good basic idea, especially in the tune Soothsayer. The melody starts with a genius sequence. But then he extends it and then he extends the extended melody. It does not work. To his defence I can say that he uses very powerful samples at good rates. They fit with each other. I have a hard time figuring out how he and Bjorn A Lynne could work out together; they are as different as two can be. Maybe that is the thing. ¶³Diesel's comment: ¹ I'd a hard time figuring out the good sides of Fleshbrain's music when I read Eurochart, but nowadays I listen to his tunes with great pleasure. They are very funny, because I know that he said 'Ha! I wonder what they'll say if I put this note here and this snare here!' when he composed the song. Many of his tunes are very nice. As Andreas states above, Fleshbrain generally tends to release his tunes without finishing them before, though. That is a pity, but I don't care!
